Manchester had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They put the hurt on Norton with a sharp 17-7 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Manchester also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Saige Rankin was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 contests. Skylar Young was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

Manchester was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .545. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Manchester's record is now 17-4. As for Norton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will host Green at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Norton, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Coventry at 5:00 p.m.
