Game recap: Schoenfield's five passing touchdowns lead Swartz Creek past Lapeer East

Swartz Creek (Mich.) beat Lapeer East (Lapeer, Mich.) 42-6 while riding the arm of Jaylen Schoenfield, who tossed five touchdown passes.

The Dragons were up 35-6 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Schoenfield to Max Cummings in the first quarter.

With the win Swartz Creek extended its winning streak to seven games. SC defeated the Blackhawks 35-17 last week.

Schoenfield was the top performer for the Dragons. The senior quarterback ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.

The Eagles' lone touchdown came on a 4-yard run in the first quarter.



Swartz Creek went into the matchup giving up only 14.0 points per game.

SC got revenge for last year's 35-21 loss to Lapeer East with the victory.

Swartz Creek (7-0) goes up against Fenton in a Flint Metro game matchup next week, while Lapeer East (3-4) locks horns with Linden also in a Flint Metro game.
