While Central's victory against Brooks wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lions 15-14. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won three in a row.

Central's win bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Brooks, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-18.

Central has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Lexington on the 10th. As for Brooks, they will venture away from home to square off against Mars Hill Bible at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
