Football Recap: Walsh Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Walsh and Caliche squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Walsh had to settle for second. They were dealt a 57-24 defeat at the hands of the Buffaloes. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walsh's loss came despite strong showings from Hudson Gourley and Samuel Wright. Gourley rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while Wright gained 182 total yards and three touchdowns. Gourley's passing game has become a key predictor of the Eagles' success: the team is 5-2 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 0-4 otherwise.

Walsh now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Caliche, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Walsh does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Caliche, they have already played their next matchup, a 70-32 loss against Stratton on the 15th.
