Basketball Game Preview: Caprock Longhorns vs. Tascosa Rebels

Caprock is 0-10 against Tascosa since November of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Caprock Longhorns will host the Tascosa Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Caprock played in conference for the first time on Tuesday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They strolled past Lubbock with points to spare, taking the game 57-41.

Meanwhile, Tascosa was able to grind out a solid victory over Plainview on Tuesday, taking the game 65-57. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 273rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tascosa pushed their record up to 15-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for Caprock, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.
