Basketball Recap: Prairie View Comes Up Short

Prairie View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Summit Tigers, falling 54-21.

Despite the loss, Prairie View still got an impressive performance from Elizabeth Scaff, who posted nine points.

Kenya Rodriguez was nothing short of spectacular for Summit: she dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Rodriguez a new career-high. Phoenix Meyer was another key player, going 5 for 8 on her way to 15 points.

Prairie View's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Prairie View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-35 defeat against Littleton on the 6th. As for Summit, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 35-29 win against Sierra on the 6th.
