Petrolia and Windthorst are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. The Pirates are taking a road trip to take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Petrolia's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four matches.

Petrolia is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Archer City just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 12-11.

Meanwhile, Windthorst didn't have quite enough to beat Seymour on Tuesday and fell 14-13.

Petrolia's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 14-5. As for Windthorst, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Petrolia skirted past Windthorst 8-7 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
