Basketball Recap: Winamac's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Winamac lost against North Judson-San Pierre back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Winamac Warriors fell 54-42 to the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays.

Despite the loss, Winamac still got an impressive performance from Marissa Iverson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Kaelyn O?Connor was another key player, putting up four points and seven boards.

North Judson-San Pierre's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avaree Johnston, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 19 points. Those 19 points gave Johnston a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kyleigh Lehiy, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.

Winamac's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8. As for North Judson-San Pierre, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Winamac will square off against Pioneer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Judson-San Pierre, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-26 victory against Knox on the 25th.
