Volleyball Recap: Baxter Springs Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Baxter Springs came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chetopa Hornets by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lions also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Baxter Springs took both sets by at least 19 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-6.

Sadie Miller paced Baxter Springs' offense, picking up seven kills. Miller got some help from Sam Sheffer and her 19 assists. Izzy Simpson controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Baxter Springs' record is now 20-8. As for Chetopa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17-2.

Baxter Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Galena on the 6th. Chetopa has also already played their next match (against Southeast), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
