Basketball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline lost against Centaurus back in January of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Skyline Falcons received a blow as they fell 56-39 to the Centaurus Warriors. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Skyline lost, don't look at Dj Swan. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Rickman, who scored six points and three steals.

Sam Esposito went supernova for Centaurus, going 8-for-13 to rack up 24 points. Thanks to that strong game, Esposito now owns an excellent 40.7% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jt Falzone, who put up eight points and three steals.

Skyline's record now sits at 8-14. As for Centaurus, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyline will host Silver Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Skyline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.8 points per game this season. As for Centaurus, they will be playing at home against Monarch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Monarch has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three games.
