Soccer Game Preview: West Bend West vs. Ozaukee

The West Bend West Spartans will face off against the Ozaukee Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. West Bend West has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for West Bend West's offense. They came up short against Cedarburg on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for West Bend West in their meetings with Cedarburg: they've now lost four in a row.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Ozaukee and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Warriors' defense stepped up to hand the Resorters an 8-0 shutout. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Ozaukee considering their one-goal performance the contest before.

West Bend West's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Ozaukee, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
