New Buffalo got themselves on the board against River Valley on Tuesday, but River Valley never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Mustangs. The result was nothing new for the Bison, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Nicholas Wolfe made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run.

In other batting news, New Buffalo let Drew Bowen and Vaughn Nikkel run wild. Bowen went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI, while Nikkel went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Colten Lijewski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

New Buffalo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .481. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

New Buffalo's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

New Buffalo will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
