            Baseball Recap: Campolindo Cougars vs. Vacaville Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Campolindo proved they can win big  on Tuesday (they won by 11) and  on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Vacaville Bulldogs  7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Cougars have posted  since March 22nd.
 Evan Kelly looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five).

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Luke McLeod, who  went 3-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Miles Clayton also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
Campolindo's record is now 10-6. As for Vacaville,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 16-9.
 Looking ahead, Campolindo will square off against Benicia at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Cougars 3.8, the Panthers 3.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Vacaville, they will face off against Rodriguez at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 7.4  runs per game this season.
