Basketball Game Preview: Leon Cougars vs. Iola Bulldogs

Leon is 0-7 against Iola since December of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Leon Cougars will challenge the Iola Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m.

Last Tuesday, Leon came up short against Iola and fell 46-34. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Iola's win came from a few key players Leon will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brody Vaughn, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 19 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler EllioTT, who posted 12 points and six steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Leon and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Iola, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.
