Soccer Game Preview: Baker/Powder Valley vs. Pendleton

Baker/Powder Valley and Pendleton are an even 3-3-3 against one another since October of 2016, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against the Buckaroos at 5:30 p.m. Baker/Powder Valley's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Tuesday, Baker/Powder Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Ontario and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Pendleton hadn't done well against La Grande recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Buckaroos never let the Tigers get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Considering Pendleton have won three matchups by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Baker/Powder Valley's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6-1. As for Pendleton, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-5.

Baker/Powder Valley took their win against Pendleton in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Buckaroos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
