Baseball Game Preview: Cedar Bluff Tigers vs. Pisgah Eagles

The Cedar Bluff Tigers will challenge the Pisgah Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Cedar Bluff lost 10-3 to Pleasant Valley on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Pisgah waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Hornets 13-4.

Pisgah got a great performance from Mason Cooley as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Cooley has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Caleb Jenkins was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Oakley Cofield, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.

Pisgah kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Pisgah's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Cedar Bluff, their loss dropped their record down to 8-17.

Cedar Bluff beat Pisgah 12-8 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
