Basketball Game Preview: Central Davidson Spartans vs. Northwest Cabarrus Trojans

The Central Davidson Spartans will square off against the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Central Davidson made easy work of North Davidson and carried off a 51-31 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Spartans have posted against the Black Knights since January 20, 2022.

Meanwhile, Northwest Cabarrus hadn't done well against Central Cabarrus recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Northwest Cabarrus snuck past Central Cabarrus with a 57-52 win.

Central Davidson pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Northwest Cabarrus, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
