Baseball Game Preview: Weiser Wolverines vs. Homedale Trojans

For the second straight game, Weiser will face off against Homedale. The Wolverines will host the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Weiser is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Weiser came up short against Homedale on Monday, falling 11-1.

For Homedale's part, they got a massive performance out of Lukas Hall, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Hall has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Boston Ivie was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Homedale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Weiser's loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Homedale, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Wednesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Weiser has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. However, it's not like Homedale struggles in that department as they've averaged .479. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
