Baseball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Takes a Loss

Vista PEAK Prep lost against Grand Junction back in March of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Vista PEAK Prep Bison lost 9-1 to the Grand Junction Tigers.

Vista PEAK Prep got a good showing from Eli Garcia, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Vista PEAK Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Brancato, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Vista PEAK Prep now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Grand Junction, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Vista PEAK Prep will head out to square off against Fruita Monument at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The last three games Fruita Monument has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Grand Junction, they will host Fossil Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
