Soccer Recap: Needville Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Needville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the La Marque Cougars by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bluejays also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Maylee Smith and Gracie Kelly scored all three of Needville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Needville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for La Marque, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Needville will venture away from home to face off against Stafford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Stafford will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Needville surely won't give up without a fight. As for La Marque, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Brazosport at 5:30 p.m.
