Softball Recap: Canon City Takes a Loss

The Classical Academy hit Canon City with a five-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 12-6 to the Titans. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost four in a row.

Canon City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Khloe Weise, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Allisyn Gasseling was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Canon City's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for The Classical Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canon City will venture away from home to face off against Air Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for The Classical Academy, they will head out to take on Peak to Peak at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
