While Mt. Pleasant's win against Grant wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Oilers won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 3-2. That's two games straight that the Oilers have won by just one run.

Mt. Pleasant is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Grant, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-8.

Looking ahead, Mt. Pleasant will host Midland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chemics' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Oilers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grant, they will venture away from home to take on Reed City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
