Basketball Recap: Loomis Wolves vs. Brady Eagles
Loomis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brady Eagles. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Loomis saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Sophia Schemper dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for Schemper. Natalie Kegley also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.
Among those leading the charge was Payton Stienike, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. Those 21 points gave her a new career-high. Lydia Mcgown was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and seven rebounds.
Loomis' loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Brady, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Loomis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-38 defeat against Blue Hill on the 24th. Brady has also already played their next contest, a 47-37 victory against Twin Loup on the 27th.
