Volleyball Recap: Ada Comes Up Short

Ada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Van Buren Black Knights. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Black Knights when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 22-25, 25-14.

Brooklyn Andreasen paced Ada's offense, picking up 13 kills. Andreasen got some help from Jaylin St. Laurent and her 15 assists. Andreasen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Lily Grine was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 14 digs.

Ada's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Van Buren, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Ada didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Vanlue on the 27th. As for Van Buren, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Arcadia on the 29th.
