After a string of 13 wins, Moberly's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Fulton Hornets by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Spartans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Moberly's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4. As for Fulton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Moberly and Fulton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Spartans will face off against Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (14 vs. 351). Meanwhile, Fulton (ranked 41st) will meet Hallsville (ranked 363rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
