Tri-County - Rock recap November 19, 2013
El Cerrito extended the longest winning streak in Tri-County - Rock this week by beating Tamalpais, 64-8. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Gauchos.
Salesian moved up to 547 from 621 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Pride were able to move up by beating St. Vincent de Paul 42-21.
Theman Taylor III threw for 160 yards and 3 touchdowns.
James Terrell was the best wideout in the league this week as St. Patrick-St. Vincent lost to Piner. Terrell tallied 5 receptions for 105 yards. Jalen Canty helped St. Patrick-St. Vincent's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 66 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Anthony Williams of the Bruins is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,481. He has also thrown 22 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Liam Godfrey. The Saint Mary's star has 37 catches for 825 yards.
Going into this week's contest against St. Helena, Saint Mary's's Ian Bonde needs 193 passing yards to surpass 2,000 on the season. So far this year, Bonde has thrown for 1,807 yards with 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
Lorenzo Logwood of the the Panthers is only 69 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Logwood has rushed for 931 yards on 146 carries so far this year.
El Cerrito took down the Red Tailed Hawks 64-8 last week, the largest margin of any game.
