Baseball Recap: Gleason Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Friday. Gleason lost 11-3 to Hickman County. Gleason just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.

Parker Morgan put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, Ashton Morgan made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Gleason's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hickman County, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Gleason didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-3 loss against Hickman County on the 27th. Hickman County has also already played their next matchup (against Kenwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
