Baseball Game Preview: Wade Hampton Generals vs. Eastside Eagles

For the second straight game, Wade Hampton will face off against Eastside. The Generals are taking a road trip to face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Wade Hampton took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Eastside. The game marked the Generals' most dominant win of the season.

Blake Davis was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Wade Hampton is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-8 otherwise. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Stepp, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
