Volleyball Recap: El Segundo's Undefeated Season over After Ten Games

If El Segundo was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Torrance on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Redondo Union Sea Hawks on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

While El Segundo ultimately came up short, they really made Redondo Union work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-17, 25-19.

Having lost for the first time this season, El Segundo fell to 9-1. As for Redondo Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. El Segundo will square off against rival Mira Costa at 3:30 p.m. on the 26th. Meanwhile, Redondo Union is set to challenge their familiar foe Torrance at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
