Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Maplewood Panthers on Monday. The Royals not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29, 2024.

Brey Bacher looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Michael Long was excellent, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kai Bledsoe, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet back to even at 4-4. As for Maplewood, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
