Softball Recap: Knox Central Comes Up Short

Knox Central lost against Harlan back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Green Dragons. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly four runs.

Emily Jordan was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayme Swafford, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Knox Central and nudges their season record down to 11-9-1. As for Harlan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-8.

Knox Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harlan, they will host Jackson County at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
