League recap: Houston overpowering for McCormick in past week

A Region I league recap: 3/27/13

A Region I's top pitcher this week was McCormick's Trey Houston. He won one game and retired ten batters.

Dixie outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its four total wins led the league. The Hornets beat the Chiefs 16-4.

Alex Ellison drove in four runs for Whitmire over the past seven days. He has eight RBIs this season, tops in the league.

Ellison's four RBIs this week put him at the number one spot for the league. He now stands at eight RBIs on the season, which puts him first in the league.

Ellison drove in four runners as Whitmire defeated McCormick 16-5 on Tuesday. He went 3-for-4 and scored one run.



The Chiefs' Houston threw six shutout innings in a 10-0 win over Tamassee-Salem on Friday. He struck out ten, allowing two hits.
