Baseball Recap: Freedom Find Success

Freedom took a 19-run loss the last time they faced off against Park View, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots on Monday, sneaking past 16-15. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the game before.

Langston Hicks was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Casey Figueroa, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Freedom's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Park View, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Freedom didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 17-3 defeat against Woodbridge on the 29th. As for Park View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 26-0 loss against John Champe on the 29th.
