St. Paul had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against the Covington Lions as they made off with a 34-14 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolves' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Lions are ranked 90th).

St. Paul's record is now 8-2. As for Covington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
