Baseball Recap: Argenta-Oreana Wins Going Away Against Cumberland

Argenta-Oreana lost to Cumberland back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Bombers put the hurt on the Pirates with a sharp 11-3 win. The Bombers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Carter Logue was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Argenta-Oreana is undefeated when Logue posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Kharsen West was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Argenta-Oreana's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Cumberland, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Argenta-Oreana is set to challenge their familiar foe Villa Grove at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cumberland will square off against rival Cerro Gordo/Bement at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
