Hudson's Bay and Washougal are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Hudson's Bay and eight for Washougal.

Washougal couldn't beat Ridgefield on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Panthers fell just short of the Spudders by a score of 8-7.

Nash Neumann made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Hall, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Washougal's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Hudson's Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Hudson's Bay's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's game. The Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Washougal, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Hudson's Bay continue to outrun the ball?

Hudson's Bay couldn't quite finish off Washougal when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 6-4. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
