Softball Game Preview: Westwood Panthers vs. Master's Academy Patriots

Westwood is 0-9 against Master's Academy since February of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 4:00 p.m. Westwood has given up an average of 17 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Westwood is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 20th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 16-0 to Treasure Coast.

Meanwhile, Master's Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of Central by a score of 12-10.

Phoenix Henderson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gia Gasbarro, who scored a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Master's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
