Volleyball Recap: Croatan Cougars vs. J.H. Rose Rampants

Croatan lost against J.H. Rose back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Croatan Cougars came up short against the J.H. Rose Rampants, falling 3-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Rampants recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-12.

J.H. Rose was led to victory by Anne Price Duke and Francie Taft. Duke had ten digs and two aces, while Taft had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces Duke has posted in she last seven contests.

Croatan's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for J.H. Rose, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

Croatan will square off against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for J.H. Rose, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory vs. Jacksonville on the 19th.
