The Karns City Gremlins will square off against the Freeport Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Karns City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Karns City's offense. They lost 6-0 to St. Marys on Tuesday. The loss was the Gremlins' first of the season.

Meanwhile, while Freeport put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Ligonier Valley. The Yellowjackets blew past the Rams 6-0.

The win got Freeport back to even at 2-2. As for Karns City, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Karns City skirted past Freeport 3-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Gremlins repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
