Recap: St. Thomas Episcopal Saints vs. Empowering Others Prep Kings
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the St. Thomas Episcopal Saints ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 66-60 W over Empowering Others Prep. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading St. Thomas Episcopal to victory were Aiden Law and Micah Gichana. Law scored 24 points along with 9 rebounds, while Gichana scored 32 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. The game was Law's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vlad Vatrachki, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for St. Thomas Episcopal and bumps their season record up to 11-3. As for Empowering Others Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
St. Thomas Episcopal is on the road again on Friday and play against Lancaster at 5:35 p.m. on December 8th. As for Empowering Others Prep, they will take on Lutheran North at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
