Softball Recap: Homestead Takes a Loss

Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 13-7 to the West Bend East Suns. That's two games in a row now that the Highlanders have lost by exactly six runs.

Lola Leaman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Claire Gilbertson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Homestead's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for West Bend East, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Homestead is set to face off against their familiar foe Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Bend East will challenge rival Slinger at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
