Merit Preparatory Academy won the last time they faced Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, and Lizbeth Diaz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Merit Preparatory Academy Knights walked away with a 26-13 win over the Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams Marauders on Tuesday thanks in part to Diaz, who almost dropped a double-double on nine steals and nine blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks.

The team also got some help courtesy of Ayla Coltharp, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Merit Preparatory Academy's points.

Merit Preparatory Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-17.

Merit Preparatory Academy will square off against Freedom Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams, they will take on Rockwell at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
