After a string of three wins, Mt. Vernon-Enola's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the West Side Eagles by a score of 9-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warhawks of the 7-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2022.

Mt. Vernon-Enola's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for West Side, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon-Enola will host Bigelow at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Side, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Concord at 4:00 p.m. West Side is facing Concord at the right time seeing as Concord is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
