Skylee Ferrante made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Olivia Fillipp was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Audrey Wetzel was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, while Crystal Lake Central put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Saint Viator. The Tigers walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Lions.

Crystal Lake Central is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 18-5 record this season. As for Jacobs, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
