Basketball Recap: Tucker Jamison Key Part of Team Effort in Lions Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Regents walked away with it. They walked away with a 43-34 victory over the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys on Saturday. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ospreys, too.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Regents to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tucker Jamison, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. What's more, Jamison posted three assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Morris Hoffman was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven boards and five assists.

Several Ospreys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Bisnett, who put up nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Roberson, who scored eight points.

Regents has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That somehow still isn't as good as their 16-5 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 17-6.

As of now, neither Regents nor Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
