Orofino had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the St. Maries Lumberjacks a 17-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Aiden Olive was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Blake Barlow, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Orofino kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.

Orofino pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for St. Maries, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.

Orofino will face off against Grangeville at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Maniacs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 10.4 runs per game this season. St. Maries does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
