Baseball Recap: Hackettstown Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Hackettstown's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Bound Brook Crusaders by a score of 9-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Joey Rowinski, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Tyler Lambo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Hackettstown has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Bound Brook, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hackettstown will head out to face off against Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bound Brook, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Henry Hudson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Admirals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
