Baseball Recap: Riverdale Baptist Wins High-Profile Game Against School Without Walls

Riverdale Baptist is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of School Without Walls. Riverdale Baptist won by a run and slipped past School Without Walls 9-8. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Penguins recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

DIXON MONK was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. EVAN SHERARD also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Riverdale Baptist pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for School Without Walls, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Riverdale Baptist will square off against Avalon at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for School Without Walls, they will challenge Woodson at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
