Baseball Recap: Stone Ridge Christian Comes Up Short

Stone Ridge Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mariposa County Grizzlies, falling 19-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 11-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Stone Ridge Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Yorba, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Stone Ridge Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mariposa County, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-8.

While Stone Ridge Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
