Baseball Recap: Chiles Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Chiles couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Trojans on Sunday. The Timberwolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Trojans earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Chiles' loss dropped their record down to 23-7. As for Lincoln, they now have a winning record of 16-15.

Chiles does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln, they will challenge Niceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
